Creekside Reserve
When: Saturdays at 9:00AM
Location: Meet at Beavercreek Station on North Fairfield Road, near U.S 35

Join our volunteers at Creekside Reserve any Saturday morning from early spring through fall,weather permitting. We are removing invasive plants (bush honeysuckle, garlic mustard, lesser Celandine, narrow leaf cattails) and other maintenance activities. We are also contining the restoration of the Little Beaver Creek after the major stream rerouting project. Hundreds of native trees and shrubs will be planted along the improved stream, and wetland sedges and flowers will be planted in a large area of the former streambed.

Expert on-site guidance will be provided. Please meet at the Beavercreek Station just off N. Fairfield Rd., North of US 35. Please contact Don Geiger Donald.Geiger@notes.udayton.edu to let us know we can expect you, to obtain directions to the work site or if there are any questions or concerns. Volunteers will be required to complete a Greene County Parks Volunteer Application.


Koogler Reserve
When: Wednesdays, 9:00 AM - Noon
When: Sundays, 1:00PM - 4:00PM
Location: Meet at Koogler Reserve Parking Lot on Beaver Valley Rd., near the intersection with New Germany-Trebein Rd.

Wednesday
Wednesday sessions will be primarily repair/construction work at Siebenthaler Fen and possible some invasive control. Wednesday workers should dress for wet conditions including boots or below waist apparel that they know will be wet. Tools for removing, repairing and re-constructing the boardwalk would be appropriate.

Sunday
Sunday sessions will include invasive control and seed collection/planting. Sites will include Siebenthaler Fen, Koogler Reserve and Fairborn Marsh. Other sites may be added if conditions permit. Tools and clothing apparel suitable for invasive contriol work are beneficial, such as good boots, loppers, pruners, chain saw with safety apparel and gloves.

BCWA Photo Policy
On occasion, within the Beaver Creek Wetlands Association protected lands (and affiliate properties) or at BCWA events or activities, members of the BCWA or volunteers may take photos of participants in these areas or of people participating in these events and activities. These photos are for BCWA use and may appear on the website, in the newsletter, in flyers or guide pamphlets, or in the news media.
